Floating Weeds is a 1959 film by Yasujiro Ozu and shot in colour by Kazuo Miyagawa, one of Japan’s most highly regarded cinematographers. Rashomon is a 1950 Japanese film directed by Akira Kurosawa, working in close collaboration with cinematographer Kazuo Miyagawa. Rashomon introduced Kurosawa and Japanese cinema to Western audiences, and is considered one of his masterpieces winning the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and an Honorary Award at the 24th Academy Awards.
