Cowboy Bebop – The Movie is a 2001 animated film directed by ShinichirÅ Watanabe. The screenplay was written by Keiko Nobumoto, based on the Cowboy Bebop television series. The original Japanese title of the movie (Cowboy Bebop: Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door) is taken from the Bob Dylan’s song of the same name.
Days before Halloween 2071, villains blow up a tanker truck on Mars Highway One releasing a deadly virus that kills hundreds. Fearing a bigger even more devastating biochemical attack an astronomical reward is offered for the arrest and capture of the person behind the destruction.
